Potatoes
- 4 medium potatoes
Seasoning & Butter
- 2 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Salt, to taste
- Ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius) to prepare for baking the potato wedges.
- Cut Potatoes: Wash and cut the 4 potatoes into evenly sized wedges to ensure uniform cooking.
- Brown Butter: In a pan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat and continue cooking until it turns slightly browned, bringing a nutty flavor to the dish.
- Season Potatoes: Add the potato wedges to the browned butter and sprinkle with dried parsley, dried basil, dried rosemary, salt, and ground black pepper. Cook for 5 minutes over medium heat to partially cook and infuse the potatoes with the herb flavors.
- Bake Wedges: Transfer the potatoes to an oven-safe dish or leave them in the pan if oven-safe, then bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the wedges are tender and golden brown.
- Serve: Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then serve the baked potato wedges warm and enjoy their crispy, herby goodness.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, you can toss the wedges with a tablespoon of olive oil before baking.
- Adjust seasoning according to taste; adding garlic powder or paprika can enhance flavor.
- If you prefer a lower fat option, you can substitute butter with olive oil.
- The cooking time may vary slightly depending on the size and type of potatoes used.
