Ingredients

Scale

Seafood and Meat

  • 20 Shrimp
  • 1 Smoked Sausage

Vegetables

  • 6 Potatoes
  • 1 ear Corn
  • 1 clove Garlic

Liquids and Seasonings

  • 3 cups Water
  • 2 cups Beer
  • 2 tablespoons Old Bay® Seasoning
  • Olive Oil (as needed)
  • Ground Black Pepper (to taste)
  • Salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Combine liquids and seasonings: In a large pan, pour 3 cups of water and 2 cups of beer. Add 1 clove of garlic, 6 whole potatoes, a dash of ground black pepper, and 2 tablespoons of Old Bay® Seasoning to the liquid mixture.
  2. Boil and add sausage: Bring the liquid to a strong boil. Slice the smoked sausage into bite-sized pieces and add them to the boiling water.
  3. Cook potatoes and sausage: Let the potatoes and sausage cook together in the boiling water for 6 minutes until potatoes start to soften.
  4. Add corn: Chop the ear of corn into smaller pieces and add to the boiling mixture. Cook for another 4 minutes to soften the corn.
  5. Cook shrimp: Add the shrimp to the boiling water and cook for 4 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.
  6. Drain and season: Drain all ingredients and transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle additional Old Bay® Seasoning, ground black pepper, and salt to taste. Toss gently to coat everything evenly.
  7. Serve and enjoy: Serve the shrimp boil hot as a flavorful and hearty meal.

Notes

  • Use fresh or thawed shrimp for best results.
  • You can substitute the smoked sausage with Andouille or any other smoked variety.
  • Adjust seasoning quantities to your taste preference, especially Old Bay® and salt.
  • Serve with melted butter or lemon wedges for extra flavor.
