A classic Shrimp Boil recipe featuring tender shrimp, smoky sausage, sweet corn, and potatoes simmered together with beer and Old Bay® Seasoning to create a flavorful and hearty seafood feast.

- 20 Shrimp
- 1 Smoked Sausage

- 6 Potatoes
- 1 ear Corn
- 1 clove Garlic
Liquids and Seasonings
- 3 cups Water
- 2 cups Beer
- 2 tablespoons Old Bay® Seasoning
- Olive Oil (as needed)
- Ground Black Pepper (to taste)
- Salt (to taste)
Instructions
- Combine liquids and seasonings: In a large pan, pour 3 cups of water and 2 cups of beer. Add 1 clove of garlic, 6 whole potatoes, a dash of ground black pepper, and 2 tablespoons of Old Bay® Seasoning to the liquid mixture.
- Boil and add sausage: Bring the liquid to a strong boil. Slice the smoked sausage into bite-sized pieces and add them to the boiling water.
- Cook potatoes and sausage: Let the potatoes and sausage cook together in the boiling water for 6 minutes until potatoes start to soften.
- Add corn: Chop the ear of corn into smaller pieces and add to the boiling mixture. Cook for another 4 minutes to soften the corn.
- Cook shrimp: Add the shrimp to the boiling water and cook for 4 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.
- Drain and season: Drain all ingredients and transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle additional Old Bay® Seasoning, ground black pepper, and salt to taste. Toss gently to coat everything evenly.
- Serve and enjoy: Serve the shrimp boil hot as a flavorful and hearty meal.
Notes
- Use fresh or thawed shrimp for best results.
- You can substitute the smoked sausage with Andouille or any other smoked variety.
- Adjust seasoning quantities to your taste preference, especially Old Bay® and salt.
- Serve with melted butter or lemon wedges for extra flavor.
- To make cleanup easier, consider using a large stockpot with a strainer insert.
