Mayonnaise Ingredients

- Tall and narrow glass jar, for making and storing the mayo
- Immersion blender
Instructions
- Add Ingredients: Pour the 1 cup of light olive oil into the tall narrow glass jar. Add the whole large egg, 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard, 3 tablespoons of lemon juice, and a generous pinch of salt to the jar.
- Blend the Mixture: Place your immersion blender at the bottom of the jar. Blend for 10 to 15 seconds without lifting the blender to allow the mayonnaise to start emulsifying and thickening.
- Combine Fully: Once the mixture begins to thicken, slowly move the blender up and down inside the jar to blend all ingredients evenly and achieve a smooth, creamy consistency.
- Finish and Store: Remove the blender, stir the mayonnaise a few times with a spoon for uniform texture, seal the jar with a lid, and refrigerate. The mayo will stay fresh for up to one week.
