Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients
- 3 cups Dry Roasted, Unsalted Peanuts
- 1 pinch Sea Salt
Instructions
- Measure Peanuts: Measure 3 cups of dry roasted, unsalted peanuts to ensure you have the right amount for your homemade peanut butter.
- Add Peanuts to Food Processor: Place the measured peanuts into your food processor bowl, preparing them for blending.
- Initial Processing: Process on high for about one minute until the peanuts become a fine peanut flour.
- Add Salt and Continue Processing: Add a pinch of sea salt to the peanut flour and continue processing for an additional two minutes. You will notice the flour starting to clump together.
- Scrape Down Sides: If you see peanuts climbing up the sides and blades can’t reach them, pause and scrape down the sides to ensure even blending.
- Forming Mass: After around four minutes of processing, peanuts will begin to clump into a single mass, and a thin layer of peanut butter will start forming at the bottom of the processor.
- Approaching Peanut Butter Stage: Keep processing; by six to seven minutes, the peanuts will look like they are starting to transform into peanut butter.
- Peanut Butter Formation: After approximately eight minutes, a small ball of peanut butter should be rolling around the base, indicating it’s forming properly.
- Final Check and Taste: Taste your peanut butter and add more salt if necessary to suit your preference.
- Storage: Transfer the peanut butter into a clean, airtight jar or container. Store in a cool place or refrigerate for freshness. Enjoy your homemade peanut butter!
