Ingredients
Scale
Fresh Produce
- 1.5 cups fresh pineapple, finely diced
- 1/2 red bell pepper, finely diced
- 1/2 green bell pepper, finely diced
- 1 jalapeño pepper, ribs and seeds removed (optional), finely diced
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
- 1/4 cup cilantro, finely chopped
Other Ingredients
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1/8 tsp salt
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients: Finely dice the fresh pineapple, red and green bell peppers, jalapeño pepper (with ribs and seeds removed for less heat), red onion, and chop the cilantro. Adjust jalapeño quantity to your preferred spice level by adding more or removing seeds.
- Combine the ingredients: In a medium bowl, thoroughly mix together the diced pineapple, bell peppers, jalapeño, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, and salt until well combined.
- Let the flavors meld: Refrigerate the salsa for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend together and develop a harmonious taste before serving.
Notes
- You can omit the jalapeño entirely for a milder salsa or increase the number of jalapeños and leave in seeds for more heat.
- Use fresh lime juice for the best flavor punch.
- This salsa is best consumed within 2 days of preparation for optimal freshness.
- Serve chilled as a topping for tacos, grilled meats, fish, or as a dip with tortilla chips.
